SITE SELECTION
Shakey’s® franchisees have the option of consulting our corporate real estate specialist for assistance in site selection. Once a franchisee submits a site for approval, we will help in analyzing its potential advantages and disadvantages through a site and trade area evaluation. Shakey’s® has the final approval of any site.
CONSTRUCTION
Shakey’s® will provide a set of prototypical plans including architectural and engineering drawings, elevations, equipment layout, interior décor and layout, interior and exterior signage and graphics. We will consult with your architects to adapt the plans to your site. Our development team is available for consultation regarding contractors and acquiring estimates. Our operations team will provide onsite construction checks and advise you on completing your project on time.
TRAINING
To compete in today’s restaurant market, management and staff must have the necessary knowledge and skills. Shakey’s® provides an eight-week training program and hands-on training support through field representatives. Skill-building programs are continually being developed and updated. Our training programs will help you achieve a high quality of product, service and cleanliness.
PURCHASING
Our purchasing specialist assists franchisees in identifying and approving suppliers and distributors who meet Shakey’s® standards and specifications, while maintaining a strict quality control program. Our goal is to obtain the highest quality products at the best possible price for our customer, you the franchisee.
OPERATIONS
Shakey’s® operations department will recommend and assist franchisees in implementing proven business and production practices. We will continually train the franchisee in the most up to date operations practices. A Shakey’s® field representative will be the franchisee’s business partner and liaison among all support center departments. They are committed to visit you periodically to verify that your operations meet Shakey’s® standards and offer advice and assistance with any operational challenges.
MARKETING
Our marketing department will advise franchisees on pre-opening promotions and grand opening activities for successful Shakey’s® opening. The marketing department specializes in local store marketing that will enhance your community involvement and provide proven successful marketing tools that will assist you with your business.
